1970 Chevrolet Corvette. 1970 was the 3rd model year since the introduction of the now famous Mako Shark redesign. GM was on a roll and the Vettes were selling like hot cakes. 1970 was also the year many consider the pinnacle of muscle car perfection. Nearly every manufacturer was directing their best efforts toward speed and style! This was reflected at GM with the Corvette positioned as Top dog of the Chevrolet line up. Nothing but the best for the Corvette when it came to options and performance.
This 1970 Vette is a great example of the street dominating potential that could be experienced in a 1970 Corvette. This car is equipped with a 454, Muncie 4 Speed, AC, disk brakes and power-steering. Although not numbers matching; its been rebuilt to spec and ready to roll. The transmission has been rebuilt as well. It fires up with authority and is more than ready to flex its muscle!
The interior is in solid shape and overall the car presents as a clean survivor; with only minimal imperfections in the paint and traditional signs of aging unique to Corvettes of the era. This Car would make a great driver and is a solid platform for a full restoration. Everything is there, no sourcing parts. |
